With a special interest in Digital Health, startups, data and putting the patient at the centre, Laurens is deeply convinced that contributing towards better healthcare systems contributes directly towards a healthier, more sustainable and democratic society. Before joining Calm/Storm as a Visiting Analyst, he worked at a MedTech/BioTech Venture builder, focusing on Health Tech Hardware Startups. Later he joined a Hybrid Care Startup as Founder Associate as the first employee gaining great insights from scratch. Laurens has a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Cello Solo Performance and is currently finishing his MSc in International Studies. In his free time Laurens is working on his own Digital Health project, loves music and enjoys walking near Lisbon’s Tejo River (his home town) at night.
